In my second day of teaching Andrew, Andrew asked me to help with his mathematic homework. Basically, it was about multiplying and dividing, but it was packaged as word problem. I think it was quite complicated for grade 5 student.
And I just realized that Andrew's school equalized its curriculum with Singapore's. Hfft..
Aproximately, there are six word-problems, and there is one problem which I couldn't understand well. But, fortunately, I took my chance to "phone a friend" :P
The next day, when the homework was already scored, I examined Andrew's math book. I saw some red lines from his teacher. "Did I teach badly? So, his score become...hmmpp.." I said to myself.
I tried to calm myself, and confirmed my 'question mark' to Andrew.
"Andrew, did your math homework get many mistakes?" I asked, coriously.
"No, all problems are correct Miss.." He answered.
Oh, thanks God... :')
